The EDge Income-based scholarships
 

The Edge Income-Based Scholarships are available to individuals and families who would like assistance in paying for The Edge programs such as camps, childcare, sports leagues, after school enrichment and more. Individuals and families must meet the following criteria: 

  • Household income at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines

Applying and qualifying for a scholarship does not guarantee receiving funds. Scholarships are granted on a fist-come, first-served basis and as funds are available.

To be eligible for. reduced or waived fees, families must meet the Federal Poverty Guidelines that are bawed on household size and income

  • Household refers to all persons related by birth , marriage, or adoption who reside together, dependents, and others in the same household.

  • Income refers to all cash receipts before taxes with certain adjustments. Income does not include non-cash benefits such as SNAP, school lunch programs, clothing vouchers, or food/rent in lieu of wages. ​

Proof of income must reflect current income and should clearly indicate pre-tax income and any adjustments. ​

  • Where proof of pre-tax income is not available, income before taxes can be estimated from proof of net income and a statement from the family. 

  • Documentation includes, but is not limited to:

    • Most recent income tax return or W-2.​

    • Two most recent pay stubs.

    • Most recent unemployment check. 

    • Proof of other household income (Social Security, pension, etc.)

    • Bank statements showing direct deposits.
