ACE APPLICATION CLOSING
The ACE application will close beginning September 5, 2023 at 4:59 p.m. to process applications as the program is nearly full. Applications will continue to be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. Families whose applications are in Corrections Needed status are encouraged to make corrections to their existing applications as soon as possible to determine eligibility before all ACE awards have been exhausted. Should additional slots become available, the ACE application will re-open to receive more applications. Please continue to check this webpage for updates.
RENEWAL INFORMATION
Awards for the ACE program do not automatically renew. If your family applied for the ACE program in the 2022-2023 school year (or before), you will need to apply again to see if you qualify for the 2023-2024 school year.
The Edge Sports & Arts Academy is an approved Qualified Education Service Provider providing sports and arts programming to all athletes who qualify.
what services are offered?
The ACE Educational Savings Account program provides qualifying families with a $1000 credit that can be used to pay for a variety of enrichment activities that will accelerate learning for students impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic
How does my family qualify?
The ACE Educational Savings Account program is available to any student between the ages of 6 and 18 years old whose family income is at or below 300% of the federal poverty level. Qualifying children include those who attend any Ohio public or nonpublic school or are home educated by their parents and have been excused from the compulsory attendance law for the purpose of home instruction. An eligible student can be enrolled in a public or nonpublic school or has been excused from compulsory attendance law for the purpose of home instruction.

submit income verification
Parents and guardians must submit income verification to determine eligibility. To submit income verification, the parent or guardian must have an OH|ID account.

sign up with merit
After Income Verification is complete (this entire process may take up to two weeks), qualifying parents and guardians will receive an email from Merit notifying them to sign up to receive access to their account funds. This will also provide a link to the Education Marketplace.
use ACE Funds with Qualified Providers
Parents and guardians will be able to access the Education Marketplace to find providers in their areas after income verification has been established and sign-up with Merit on ACEOhio.org is complete.
